We are inspired by the idea of preservative free drug delivery in eye care to better the long team ocular surface health in chronic conditions. Preservatives are increasingly recognized as having a negative impact on ocular structures even in concentrations as low as 0.005%. Patients with Dry Eye Disease (DED), particularly those who require frequent use of lubricants or other topical therapies, should avoid ocular lubricants that contain Benzalkonium chloride (BAK).
